Course Description
CALIFORNIA RBS TRAINING
This self-paced course allows you to get your certification at your own convenience. Our online training is approved by the California Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) to satisfy the seller/server training requirement. This training is designed to meet the needs of employees that sell, serve, dispense, or deliver alcoholic beverages for an establishment with a proper license or permit, including those who in any way manage or control the sale or service of alcohol. Our online RBS Training certification course will teach you how to responsibly sell and serve alcohol. You will learn important skills, such as how to identify minors, correctly check IDs, and refuse service to intoxicated customers. As the provider of this course, we will ask for personally identifiable information required by the California Alcoholic Beverage Commission and is necessary to complete the course.
IMPORTANT: It is the students’ responsibility to provide the correct Server ID to RBS California when registering. Failure to do so may result in an additional administration fee.
IMPORTANT: Per the State of California ABC Department, you will only have 30 days from your course completion date to take the exam or you will need to order a new course and take the training again.

Certificate of Completion
You will complete the exam in your State of California Alcohol Server account. After logging in to the ABC Department’s website, simply scroll down to the yellow “EXAM” button, click on it to start the state alcohol exam. They do not provide printable certificates. The ABC Department is using digital online verification. The digital verification is located on the dashboard in the Server Account for the ABC RBS portal website under Server Certificate Details.
Employers will be able to check and confirm certification via the Licensee Login on the RBS Portal. If you have questions regarding the exam or certification, you will need to contact the state directly at rbstp@abc.ca.gov
